Loft Insulation

Loft Insulation is one of the easiest & most cost effective ways of improving your Home Energy Efficiency.Working within the Governments guidelines, all our loft insulation work is carried out by fully trained staff from initial survey through to installation. How much money you can save on your heating bills depends on the thickness of the insulation. The current recommendation from the Energy Saving Trust (EST) IS NOW 270mm (thats around 10.5 inches). This will give savings of around £200 per year on heating bills and will also reduce carbon emissions by almost one tonne a year.

Cavity Wall Insulation

As with Loft Insulation, all our Cavity Wall Insulation work is carried out to the same exact high standards. This all begins with the survey, which is carried out to identify that the cavity is suitable for insulation by checking for a) cleanliness, b) no damp or moisture present and c) the cavity is wide enough to accommodate insulation.

A small hole is drilled through the mortar line in a discreet place on each wall elevation and a boroscope is then inserted through into the cavity. The surveyor is checking for each of the items previously mentioned, cleanliness,damp/moisture and cavity width. Once he/she are satisfied that the cavity is suitable the drill/inspection hole will be sealed with clear silicone to prevent any damp/water penetration. The entire property will be measured to gain the square meterage of insulation required once all windows and door areas have been deducted from the total.
